After shipping to our wholesalers, it's finally available for purchase in our showroom.
When you think of a newspaper bag, you probably imagine canvas, but we are a leather goods manufacturer.
The material used is our standard horsehide.
However, it has a special finish.
This leather is dry-tumbled in a drum to create a moderate grain and suppleness.
Compared to our standard horsehide, this leather is designed to fit the body better and be easier to handle.
It turned out beautifully.
Since it's based on vintage newspaper bags,
The shoulder strap is made from a single piece of leather and is intentionally non-adjustable.
The bottom part also has no seams,it's made from a single U-shaped piece.
Having no seams means using a large amount of leather. Avoiding flaws also leads to more waste.
Moreover, the stitching here might look like three needles, but it's actually three passes of the sewing machine.
We know it's quite inefficient.
However, that's what gives it its cool aesthetic.
The interior is made of No. 8 canvas.
It's a very thick and durable canvas fabric.
It includes a zippered pocket (24cm).
On the opposite side, there's an attached pocket.
As you can see, it has a very large capacity.
A varsity jacket fits perfectly.
The snaps still close, and there's still plenty of room.
