Leather description
HORSE HIDE LEATHER
Made from European rawhide, vegetably tanned to complete the base.
Originally, we used a base that was carefully selected for its texture and size for clothing applications such as flight jackets.
During dyeing, not only the surface but also the core is dyed mocha, and the surface is finished with pigment in the final finishing process, giving the entire leather a stable color and lustrous texture. In the final step, a light揉み加工 (kneading process) is applied to create an indescribably soft feel.

HORSE BUTT LEATHER
Also made from European rawhide and vegetable-tanned.
We use the rare horse butt area (cordovan part).
Using a base that could not be completed as cordovan (due to deep scratches, etc.), it is finished to have a unique feel and natural wrinkles on the surface that are not found in cowhide.
We select the thickest possible horse butt, and the dyeing is intentionally left as is with dye, making it a leather that allows you to enjoy the original aging of horse leather as it is used.

UK SADDLE LEATHER
Made by J&FJ Baker, a long-established British tannery, using traditional tanning methods that have been passed down since Roman times. This high-quality saddle leather is produced slowly and carefully, just as it was back then, using the hides of bulls raised locally.
Because wax is permeated into the fine fibers of the leather, it has more than double the thickness of regular leather and boasts excellent strength and water resistance.
The finishing is all done by hand using traditional tools, applying the optimal oils and greases for each type of leather.
The leather is about 5-5.5mm thick and is skived for use depending on the application.
The texture varies depending on the part of the hide; the buttock area is relatively smooth, while the shoulder area has deep wrinkles.
As it is used, it develops a deeper luster and richer color, enhancing the leather's character.

UK BRIDLE LEATHER
Bridle leather is tanned by a highly reputable tannery in the UK, a country with a long history of saddlery.
Originally, this leather was developed for high durability to ensure the safety of horse riders. Special oil containing beeswax is repeatedly applied, and a white powder called bloom emerges on the surface, which is a characteristic feature.
As it is used, the bloom disappears, and the leather develops a luster, increasing its depth and luxurious feel.

BUTTERO LEATHER
Buttero leather is made by the long-established Walpier tannery in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. In the Tuscan region of Italy, modern leather making is avoided, and traditional vegetable tanning methods are used, taking time and effort to produce the leather.
Its fine surface beauty and excellent color development are popular, resulting in a firm and rich finish.
Since it uses the shoulder part, each product has a unique pattern.
The wrinkles, called "tiger eye," develop a unique shade as they are polished over time. The smooth and beautiful surface is delicate, which means it is prone to scratches.
Even the small scratches that accumulate over time become a part of the leather product's history and unique character.

DOLLARO LEATHER
Dollaro leather is made by the long-established Walpier tannery in Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
Based on Walpier's representative Buttero leather, it is embossed, polished, and then finished to emphasize its luster and three-dimensional appearance.

CAMOUFLAGE LEATHER
This playful leather, typical of Italy, features a shrunken grain and a camouflage pattern printed on the flesh side.
The natural grain varies from one part of the hide to another, creating a stylish and unique presence characteristic of La Perla Azzurra.

HORSE HAIR LEATHER
Made from Italian horse hair leather, it has a fine coat and lustrous sheen.
While similar in texture to cowhide, horsehide is more flexible and finer-grained.
As natural materials, leather products inherently have imperfections such as scars, grain variations, color unevenness, spots, holes, and remaining hair.
Due to their nature, there may also be differences in color, sheen, and hardness.

CHROMEXCEL LEATHER
HORWEEN, founded in Chicago, USA in 1905, is a leather manufacturer.
The leather, tanned using traditional methods unchanged for over 100 years, is uniquely beautiful, delicate, and robust, incomparable to other leathers.
HORWEEN boasts two famous types of leather: "Chromexcel Leather" and "Shell Cordovan." Shell Cordovan, in particular, is known in the leather industry as the "diamond of leather."
Chromexcel Leather is a proprietary product of HORWEEN. It is made from carefully selected raw hides, tanned using a "combination tanning" method developed nearly 100 years ago, and then infused with a special oil blend of at least four types of oils, including beef tallow, beeswax, vegetable oil, and fish oil.
