【UK SADDLE LEATHER】
The finest saddle leather from J&FJ Baker, a long-established British tannery. Using a traditional tanning method that dates back to Roman times, they produce leather for horse harnesses using bulls raised in the region, taking as much time and care as they did in the past. The wax permeates every fiber of the leather, making it nearly twice as heavy as regular leather and giving it excellent strength and water resistance. The finishing is all done by hand using traditional tools, with the optimal oil and grease applied for the leather. The leather is 5-5.5mm thick and is skived down depending on the application. The appearance varies by part; the butt area is relatively smooth, while the shoulder area has deep wrinkles. With use, it gains luster, darkens in color, and develops a richer leather character.

※The original shackle is made using LOST WAX casting. LOST WAX is a casting method that creates a mold based on a wax model. This casting method is more complex than general casting methods and can produce shapes with higher dimensional accuracy.

Due to the nature of products made from natural leather, there may be color variations between leather lots and differences in texture depending on the part of the hide. Additionally, there may be areas with wrinkles (known as "tora" or "tiger stripes") from the animal's life or minor scratches, but these are considered within the range of individual differences.

Regarding size表記, there may be discrepancies from the listed measurements due to individual differences. A margin of ±5mm is considered within the acceptable range.

As each item is produced by hand, any marks or indentations from sewing, slight misalignment or fading in foil stamping are unavoidable parts of the production process and are considered within specifications. We ask for your understanding.

Metal parts made of brass, silver, etc., may change color over time due to aging. While we polish them before shipping, slight discoloration may occur by the time they arrive. Furthermore, for items with smoked or other special finishes, there will be individual differences in color.

Sand-cast products such as buckles, being hand-finished, will have slight variations in shape and texture even for the same part.
