【UK SADDLE LEATHER】
The highest quality saddle leather from J&FJ Baker (Baker Co.), a long-established British tannery. Using traditional tanning methods that have continued since Roman times, this leather for horse tack is made from oxen born and raised in the region, produced slowly and carefully, just as it was back then. Because the wax penetrates even the microscopic fibers of the leather, it has almost twice the weight of ordinary leather and boasts excellent strength and water resistance. All finishing is done by hand using traditional tools and the most suitable oils and greases for the leather. The leather thickness is about 5-5.5mm, and it is skived and used depending on the application. The expression varies depending on the part; the butt is relatively smooth, while the shoulder has deep wrinkles. As it is used, it develops more luster, darkens in color, and improves in texture.

*The original shackle is made by LOST WAX casting. LOST WAX is a method of casting based on a wax model. It is a casting method that can produce shapes with higher dimensional accuracy and is more complex than general casting methods.

Due to the nature of products made with natural leather, there may be color variations between different leather lots and differences in texture depending on the part of the hide. In addition, there may be wrinkles (tigers' stripes) or minor scratches from the animal's life, but these are considered within the range of individual differences mentioned above.

Regarding size notation, there may be discrepancies between the stated size and the actual product due to individual differences. Differences of up to ±5mm are considered within the acceptable range.

As each item is produced by hand, minor marks from sewing, machine traces, slight deviations or fading in foil stamping are unavoidable due to the manufacturing process and are considered within specification. We appreciate your understanding.

Metal parts made of brass, silver, etc., may change color over time due to aging. We polish them before shipping, but some discoloration may occur by the time they arrive. Also, items with processes such as tarnishing will have individual differences in color.
