HORWEEN is a leather tanning manufacturer founded in Chicago, USA in 1905. For over 100 years, the leather tanned with their unchanging traditional methods is uniquely beautiful, delicate, and tough, possessing an unparalleled presence.
HORWEEN boasts two famous leathers: "Chromexcel Leather" and "Shell Cordovan" are their flagship products. Shell Cordovan, in particular, is referred to as the "diamond of leather" in the leather industry. Chromexcel Leather is HORWEEN's unique product name for cowhide, developed almost 100 years ago, where carefully selected leather is tanned using a "combination tanning" method, and then impregnated with a special oil, a blend of at least four types of oils including beef tallow, beeswax, vegetable oil, and fish oil.

Due to the nature of products made from natural leather, there may be color variations between leather batches and differences in texture depending on the part of the hide. Additionally, there may be wrinkles (fat lines) or minor scratches from the animal's life, but these are considered within the range of individual variations.

Regarding size notation, there may be discrepancies between the表記 and the actual product due to individual differences. A margin of ±5mm is considered acceptable.

Each item is produced by hand, so marks or sewing machine traces from stitching, and slight misalignment or fading of hot stamping are unavoidable in the manufacturing process and are considered within specifications. Please understand.

Parts made of metals such as brass and silver may change color over time due to aging. While we polish them before shipping, slight discoloration may occur by the time they arrive. Also, for items that have undergone processes such as antiquing, there will be individual differences in color for each item.

Sand-cast products such as buckles, which are hand-finished, will have unique shapes and textures for each piece, even if they are the same part.
